Each week at Vision we do life together with things like having communion, drinking a coffee, supporting each other, eating lunch in our staff room, and more, which all helps build a sense of belonging for everyone.
1 Corinthians 12:12-27 speaks about the body of Christ as one but it has many members. Members that hurt when others hurt, give when others are lacking and contribute to the greater view that TOGETHER we all make up one body in Christ.
A good way to visualise that is like harmonies in a song. Separately they might sound nice but you don’t hear the fullness until all the different parts are brought together. They make ONE amazing sound. The bible says in Romans 12:16, “Live in harmony with one another.” Like when all the different parts in a song come together to make one beautiful sound, so it can be with us, our friends, and our work community. One voice from many hearts & mouths, celebrating each other, all for the glory of God.
