不再拖延

求你教导我们明白人生有限。(诗篇90:12)

在1985年的一篇报纸散文,安娜·威尔斯(Anne Wells)写道:“我姐夫打开姐姐的衣柜,拿出一个薄纸包裹的物件。那是一件精致的丝质手工套裙,上面还贴着价签,价格昂贵惊人。‘那是简在我们首次去纽约时买的,大概八、九年前。她从未穿过,一直要留到特别的场合才穿。唉,我想现在是时候了。’他将这件套裙和我们要带去交给殡仪师的其它衣服放在床上,转向我说:‘千万不要把任何东西留到什么特别的日子才用。你活着的每天都是特别的日子!’”这些话改变了安娜·威尔斯的生命。她接着写道:“我不再为任何时机留下任何东西了。如今我们享用上好的陶瓷用具——在每个特别的日子,比如:减掉一斤体重,成功疏通水槽,茶花初绽时。‘有朝一日’和‘总有一天’已经从我的词汇库里消失了。如果值得去看、去听或去做的事情,我希望现在就付诸行动。我要尽力做到不拖延、不踌躇,不留着任何可以给我们的生活带来欢笑和光彩的物品而不用。每天早上睁开眼睛时,我就告诉自己,这是一个特别的日子。”这些话令你沉思,对吗?它让你每天都想竭尽全力去欢笑,并且从拖延的束缚中释放出来,拖延症会对你耳语:“可以晚点再做。”明智起来!原谅冒犯,告诉那人你关爱他们,要旅行就出发,要重返学校就行动。今天就决定去做你一直拖延的事情。
