严厉的爱

“起来!收拾你的担架回家去吧。”(马太福音9:5)

盲目的同情很危险,因为它:一、使人自怨自艾,却不采取任何行动去做出改变;二、使人落入的陷坑越来越深,解脱的机会越来越少;三、让人产生一种“习得性无助感”,必然觉得越加无助。有时这些人所需要的就是严厉的爱。尽管耶稣同情受伤的人,但祂从来不为他们感到难过。只要有可能,祂就帮助他们自助。在成就事情之前,祂通常会让他们做些什么。有时祂的指示听起来很过激。例如,祂让那个瘫子起来,收拾担架回家去(参马太福音9:6);祂告诉接到女儿死讯的那个人不要怕(参马可福音5:35-36);祂吐唾沫在地上,用唾沫和泥抹在那盲人的眼睛上,叫他到西罗亚池去洗洗(参约翰福音9:1-7)。瘫子怎能起来收拾自己的担架行走?听闻女儿的死讯怎能保持平静?盲人怎能看见走到那个池子呢?耶稣并不是单纯地为他们感到难过,而是推动他们采取行动。祂帮助他们把心思从问题中转离,激励他们做些事情。很多时候如果直面有问题的人我们觉得自己很不厚道,但事实上他们所需要的是严厉的爱。
