如果有人自以为虔诚,却不勒住自己的舌头,就等于是自己欺骗自己,他的所谓虔诚也毫无价值。(雅各书1:26)

有人造谣中伤你时,请记住:人们倾向于指控别人,却在同样的事情上为自己开脱。这则故事是关于一位先生怀疑妻子失去了听力。一天晚上,妻子背对他,坐在自己喜爱的椅子上;他则在房间的另一头,轻轻地说:“你听得见我说话吗?”她没有回答,他就靠近她一点,轻声重复:“你听得见我说话吗?”她还是不回答,他就再挪近一点,问道:“你听得见我说话吗?”仍然没有回答。最后他起身走到她椅子背后,对着她的耳朵问:“你听得见我说话吗?”她盯住他的眼睛说:“听见了!这是我第四次说‘听见了!’”心理学家把这个现象称为“投射效应”。我们倾向于把自己的惧怕、情绪和问题投射于他人。然而,你绝不能让别人如此对你。阿斯特夫人是英国国会议员,一直视温斯顿·丘吉尔为眼中钉,总是批评他。有一天,在两人激烈的争辩中,她说:“丘吉尔,我不喜欢你的政治手腕,也不喜欢你的胡子。”他看着她,说:“夫人,我不明白你到底为什么要跟这两者拉上关系。”耶稣的批评者控告祂被鬼附身。保罗的批评者说他是个疯子、傻瓜,言语粗俗;所以你不能指望从同一群人中得到不同的待遇。因此,今日给你的圣言是:保持关注,不要分心。
