搬弄是非者当改过自新

人的舌头虽然很小,却能说夸大的话。(雅各书3:5)

古谚道: “人生最大的创伤不是来自刀剑,而是言语。”如果你不相信,看看那些受伤的人,他们就在你身边。你是否还在为父母、老师、配偶或老板伤人的话语而挣扎?或更为糟糕的是此话出自于基督徒,认为《圣经》关于搬弄是非的教导并不适用于基督徒的人。因为上帝如此严肃地对待搬弄是非之罪(没错,搬弄是非是一种罪。),所以用了整整一章经文来教导此事。如果我们经常读《雅各书》第三章,就会三思后才开口。《圣经》说:“人的舌头虽然很小,却能说夸大的话。看啊,小火星能点燃大森林。”一天,一个姊妹带着不安的心情来找牧师,因为在教会里对人人都评头论足,她问道:“我怎样才能改正?”牧师说:“带一箱羽毛出去,在你挑剔过的每个人的门口放一根。”照办以后,她回到牧师那里,问道:“这样就可以了吗?”他说:“不。现在你去收回所有的羽毛,带来给我。”大概一周之后,她再到牧师那里去,但没有带回一根羽毛。她说:“风把它们全吹走了。”一阵沉默之后,牧师说:“话语也是如此,容易脱口而出,但你却永远无法收回。”你是个搬弄是非的人吗?当改过自新!
