{"id":10048,"date":"2019-09-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-09-01T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucbasiapacific.org\/?p=10048"},"modified":"2019-11-20T13:37:02","modified_gmt":"2019-11-20T03:37:02","slug":"when-you-have-a-vision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucbasiapacific.org\/twft\/when-you-have-a-vision\/","title":{"rendered":"When You Have A Vision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u2018I was not disobedient to the vision.\u2019 Acts 26:19 NIV<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When God gives you a vision for your life, you need to know how to: <\/p>\n<p> (1) <i>Hold it.<\/i> Your vision is governed by a time frame: <i>\u2018If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.\u2019<\/i> (Habakkuk 2:3 NLT) Some of us can conceive a vision, but we can\u2019t carry it to full term because we\u2019re not willing to endure the stretching and discomfort involved. We rush ahead of God and our vision is stillborn, or too weak to survive. Jesus said, <i>\u2018That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.\u2019<\/i> (John 3:6 KJV) When your vision is born of the Spirit, it\u2019ll be sustained by the Spirit. But when it\u2019s born of the flesh, you\u2019re on your own! <\/p>\n<p> (2) <i>Hide it.<\/i> It\u2019s a mistake to share your vision with those who can\u2019t appreciate it. Joseph did that, and he landed in a pit. Not everybody will celebrate your success, especially if your light shines brighter than theirs. So ask God for discernment. Judas may seem like your friend right now, but inevitably he\u2019ll betray you. <\/p>\n<p> (3) <i>Water it.<\/i> Read these two Scriptures carefully and prayerfully: <i>\u2018David encouraged himself in the Lord\u2019<\/i> (1 Samuel 30:6 KJV); <i>\u2018Building up yourselves on your most holy faith.\u2019<\/i> (Jude 1:20 KJV) You must know how to encourage and build yourself up spiritually and how to water your vision. God told Habakkuk, <i>\u2018Write the vision, and make it plain.\u2019<\/i> (Habakkuk 2:2 KJV) Write your vision on a card and carry it with you.
