This week we were able to help our brothers and sisters forced from their home country by the war in the Ukraine.
Our sister ministry UCB Hungary is printing a special edition of The Word for Today and will be making it freely available to refugees across many part of Europe. Thanks to your support we have been able to send them a financial gift to help cover the printing and distribution costs. Our sister ministry UCB UK also has contributed.
We received the following email of thanks from Nándor, the Deputy Chairman of UCB Hungary, who is leading this project.
Dear Ian,
Thank you so much for your generous support which you send for the Ukrainian mission!
Praise the Lord we could start this quite fast: we printed 20.000 copies from the Ukrainian edition, which includes 32 days of The Word for Today and it is titled: “Strength for the Spirit – a book of the Word for Today” (see attached) But for now all the copies are sent out for distribution to many places: Estonia, France, Italy, Romania, Ukraine (Beregszasz), Budapest – missions at train stations, Ukrainian borders – for aid ministries to give it to refugees etc. So this we reprint this booklet in 30.000 copies. It will arrived next Monday we will continue to distribute this book… So there is a big opened door for the Gospel at the moment and we try to use this the best we can.
We will also start the Ukrainian The Word for Today website in 2 weeks and also a Facebook site. We will need more Ukrainian speaking volunteers / workers so that we can start all of these so we also work on it… but it is going, Praise the Lord!
