Pastor Julio Cuca preparing for his evening broadcast to the people of Baucau
In 2019 we were privileged to help the Radio Voz team establish a number of stand-alone low-powered radio stations in the provincial capitals of Timor-Leste.
Including a station in Baucau, the second largest city.
Over the past 12 months they have been upgrading the station with new 100w transmitters and upgraded antenna systems, which has greatly increased the reliability and the coverage of each of these stations.
They have also been installing a basic studio setup in some areas so that local Pastors can be part of the radio program and provide a local prayer program. The picture is of Pastor Julio Cuca in Baucau who goes on air three nights a week to pray for and with listeners.
Baucau is home to over 16,000 people and is in the eastern part of Timor-Leste approx 120km east of the capital Dili.
Radio Voz Is based in Dili and has 10 stations in the various provinces on Timor-Leste. They are workgin on upgrades to all so that local broadcasting and ministry becomes a reality
